Recap: Winter Springs Bears vs. Space Coast Vipers
On Thursday, Winter Springs was able to grind out a solid win over Space Coast, taking the game 50-38. The win made it back-to-back wins for Winter Springs.
Winter Springs' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Joey Brady, who scored 12 points. The contest was Brady's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Jayel Polanco was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Winter Springs pushed their record up to 7-2 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Space Coast, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.
Winter Springs won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Miramar at 10:00 a.m. on December 22nd. Miramar knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matchups -- so hopefully Winter Springs likes a good challenge. Space Coast will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Cocoa Beach at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cocoa Beach and Space Coast are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
