Softball Game Preview: Chewelah Cougars vs. Davenport Gorillas

For the second straight game, Chewelah will face off against Davenport. The Cougars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Gorillas at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Considering Chewelah has lost three straight at home and Davenport eight straight on the road (dating back to last season), this one might come down to who's more desperate to change their momentum.

Chewelah lost 21-11 to Davenport on Thursday.

Nicole Turner and Bindi Bennett stepped up to the plate in a big way. Turner went 3-for-4 with five RBI and two doubles, while Bennett scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Savannah Acosta, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-4.

Chewelah's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Davenport, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.
