Softball Game Preview: Houston County Fighting Irish vs. Eagleville Eagles

The Houston County Fighting Irish will head out to take on the Eagleville Eagles on Friday. Houston County's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Eagleville's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Wednesday, Houston County came up short against McEwen and fell 5-2. The loss continues a trend for the Fighting Irish in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost nine in a row.

Meanwhile, Eagleville entered their tilt with Mt. Pleasant on Wednesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Tigers. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won eight games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Eagleville's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Houston County, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-11.
