Softball Game Preview: Duncanville Panthers and Pantherettes vs. Grand Saline Indians

The Duncanville Panthers and Pantherettes will venture away from home to face off against the Grand Saline Indians at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.

Duncanville is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 14 runs two weeks ago, they were much more limited against Texas on Thursday. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 3-2.

Duncanville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacie Patterson, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. What's more, Patterson also racked up two hits, the most she's had since back in February of 2024.

Meanwhile, Grand Saline was able to grind out a solid win over Winnsboro on Thursday, taking the game 5-2. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Grand Saline's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Duncanville, they dropped their record down to 1-1 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.
