Baseball Recap: Valley Central Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for Valley Central's offense. They lost 9-0 to the Cornwall Central Dragons on Saturday. The game marked the first time this season in which the Vikings were not able to get on the board.

Valley Central now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Cornwall Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Valley Central will challenge rival Minisink Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Cornwall Central is set to square off against their familiar foe Warwick at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
