Basketball Recap: Rosary Comes Up Short

Rosary was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 48-29 to the St. Edward Green Wave. While losing is never fun, the Royals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 538th, while the Green Wave are ranked 153rd).

Rosary's loss dropped their record down to 5-19. As for St. Edward, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 17 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rosary will host Lemont at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Edward, they will be playing at home against Timothy Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
