Baseball Game Preview: Forbush Falcons vs. East Surry Cardinals

The Forbush Falcons will head out on the road to square off against the East Surry Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Forbush is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.

Forbush came up short against Grassfield on Saturday, falling 8-2. That's two games in a row now that the Falcons have lost by exactly six runs.

Forbush saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Wells, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

East Surry couldn't beat Surry Central on Thursday even though they stacked five runs on them in the sixth inning. The Cardinals fell just short of the Golden Eagles by a score of 10-9.

This is the second loss in a row for Forbush and nudges their season record down to 12-9. As for East Surry, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8.

Everything went Forbush's way against East Surry in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Forbush made off with a 10-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
