Football Recap: Miami Takes a Loss

Miami lost against Wagoner back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wardogs lost 38-16 to the Bulldogs. The Wardogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Although Miami took the loss, they still got scores from Trevor Henry and Blaise Riley.

Wagoner got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Stevie Brown out in front who rushed for 160 yards and a pair of TDs on only 15 carries. Elijah Curtis also helped out as he racked up 110 receiving yards.

Miami's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Wagoner, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-3.

Coming up, Miami will head out to challenge Skiatook at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wagoner, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Catoosa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will be up against the Indians' rather soft defense (which has allowed 45.4 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
