Softball Recap: Shiocton Comes Up Short

Shiocton lost against Weyauwega-Fremont back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Chiefs took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warhawks.

Shiocton has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Weyauwega-Fremont, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-12 record this season.

While Shiocton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
