The Lamar Thunder entered their tilt with the Banning Lewis Academy Stallions with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Lamar put the hurt on Banning Lewis Academy with a sharp 43-23 victory on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Lamar has posted yet this season.
Lamar found their leader in underclassman Jacob Dunning, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Thacker, who scored six points along with two steals.
Lamar is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Banning Lewis Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.
Lamar won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against The Vanguard School at 3:00 p.m. on January 13th. The Vanguard School has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 562 points over their last seven games. As for Banning Lewis Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Florence at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
