Recap: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Chatsworth Chancellors

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Cleveland Cavaliers ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They secured a 74-69 W over Chatsworth. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Cleveland got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kamari King out in front who scored 32 points along with seven assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points King has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Souljah Niles, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Chatsworth lost, one person who can't be blamed is Alijah Arenas. Despite the final result, he scored 23 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Arenas is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Salomon Torres was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.

Even though they lost, Chatsworth smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cleveland only pulled down four offensive rebounds.

Cleveland is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 18 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. As for Chatsworth, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-13.

Cleveland will stay at home for another game and welcome Los Angeles CES at 7:00 p.m. on February 9th. Cleveland has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Chatsworth, they will head out on the road to square off against Westchester at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Chatsworth's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 15 games.
