Basketball Recap: O'Dea Takes a Loss

After flying high against Seattle Prep last Thursday, O'Dea came back down to earth. The O'Dea Fighting Irish fell just short of the Bishop Blanchet Bears by a score of 68-65 on Saturday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Fighting Irish came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Bears are ranked 104th).

O'Dea's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Bishop Blanchet, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

As of now, neither O'Dea nor Bishop Blanchet have any future games scheduled.
