The Summit Charter Collegiate Academy Bears waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They walked away with a 57-47 victory over Orosi. Summit Charter Collegiate Academy pushed the score to 53-33 by the end of the third, a deficit Orosi cut but never quite recovered from.
Orosi lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Bryant Gomez, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. Cristian Montejano was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.
Summit Charter Collegiate Academy is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Orosi, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Orange Cove the next time they take the court. Summit Charter Collegiate Academy will head out to face Orange Cove at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Orosi will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
