High Point Central is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 42nd straight game dating back to last season on Wednesday. They were dealt a 52-8 defeat at the hands of Eastern Guilford.

Meanwhile, Northeast Guilford had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on Cummings with a sharp 45-22 win on Thursday. The Rams pushed the score to 39-15 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cavaliers cut but never quite recovered from.

High Point Central better focus on containing Anaya Pearley and Sasha Brower as the pair were huge in Northeast Guilford's win. Pearley posted nine points, while Brower earned eight points.

Northeast Guilford's victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-13. As for High Point Central, their loss dropped their record down to 0-18.

High Point Central took a serious blow against Northeast Guilford when the teams last played on January 3rd, falling 58-30. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Northeast Guilford's Jt Tatum, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 12 steals.
