Basketball Game Preview: Rock Point Cougars vs. St. Michael Cardinals

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Rock Point Cougars challenge the St. Michael Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday... Rock Point is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

On Saturday, Rock Point came up short against Williams and fell 64-51.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for St. Michael, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Fort Thomas 61-58. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Cardinals' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 336th, while the Apaches are ranked 164th).

St. Michael's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-13. As for Rock Point, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-13.

Rock Point beat St. Michael 66-56 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Will Rock Point repeat their success, or does St. Michael have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
