Soccer Game Preview: Cashmere vs. Wapato

The Cashmere Bulldogs will take on the Wapato Wolves at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Cashmere's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Cashmere is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Cascade just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Kodiaks by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, Wapato had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on Lakeside with a sharp 6-1 win on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for Wapato, who have now won four contests in a row.

Cashmere's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 1-1-1 and their overall record down to 16-3-1. As for Wapato, their win bumped their record up to 17-5.
