Basketball Game Preview: Quartz Hill Royals vs. Downey Vikings

The Quartz Hill Royals will head out to face off against the Downey Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Quartz Hill is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

Quartz Hill is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They walked away with a 70-60 victory over Temescal Canyon.

Quartz Hill relied on the efforts of Jeremiah Williams, who went 11-for-16 on his way to 26 points along with six rebounds and five steals, and Ty'Jahwuan Jackson, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 20 boards. Thanks to that strong game, Williams now owns an excellent 40.9% three-point shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Fabian Robles, who posted 12 points and five assists.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Wednesday Downey sidestepped JW North for a 44-42 win.

Downey pushed their record up to 19-10 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points over those games. As for Quartz Hill, their win bumped their record up to 20-8.
