Baseball Recap: Hazelwood East Comes Up Short

Hazelwood East fell victim to Hazelwood Central and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hawks. The Spartans' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Hazelwood East's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Hazelwood Central, their win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hazelwood East will venture away from home to square off against Riverview Gardens at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hazelwood Central, they will challenge STEAM Academy at McCluer South Berkeley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
