Volleyball Recap: Winthrop Takes a Loss

Winthrop was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Arlington Catholic Cougars.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-11, 25-15.

Winthrop's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Arlington Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Winthrop has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Peabody Veterans Memorial on the 23rd. Arlington Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
