Volleyball Game Preview: Eno River Academy Bobcats vs. Vance Charter Knights + How To Watch

After both having extra time off, the Eno River Academy Bobcats and the Vance Charter Knights will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eno River Academy will be strutting in after a win while Vance Charter will be coming in after a loss.

Eno River Academy is returning to their home court after beating Clover Garden School on theirs, despite the fact Clover Garden School has dominated at home this season. The Bobcats were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Grizzlies on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Grizzlies: they've now won six in a row.

The 3-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 26-24, 25-22.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Vance Charter's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They came up short against Louisburg, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Knights have suffered since October 24, 2024.

Vance Charter was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-16, 25-22.

Eno River Academy will have to keep a close watch on Karsyn Pernell and Sarah Finch, a pair of players who had a big impact on Vance Charter's prior game. Pernell had nine digs and one assist, while Finch had nine digs and one assist.

Vance Charter's loss dropped their record down to 15-2. As for Eno River Academy, their win bumped their record up to 12-5.
