Shades Valley's contest on Thursday was close up to the half, which is when they kicked things up a notch. Their defense stepped up to hand the Moody Blue Devils a 3-0 shutout. Considering the Mounties have won nine matchups by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Moody with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ainsley Roberts, Kimberly Villa Acosta, and Aaliyah Carter.

The victory was the third in a row for Shades Valley, bringing their record for this year to 10-2-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three games. As for Moody, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shades Valley will host Lincoln at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Moody, they will welcome Pinson Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
