Baseball Recap: Hortonville Comes Up Short

Hortonville had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Pulaski Red Raiders by a score of 9-7 on Saturday.

Hortonville got a good showing from Taiven Gass, who pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.

At the plate, Turner Kuhnke made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Another player making a difference was Jack Tennie, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one run.

The win (which was Pulaski's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Coincidentally, Hortonville and Pulaski will both be playing Bay Port the next time they take the field. The Red Raiders will head out to face the Pirates at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Polar Bears will host them at 5:00 p.m. on the 21st.
