Soccer Recap: Aynor Comes Up Short

After flying high against Marion last Friday, Aynor came back down to earth. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Loris Lions who were credited with the victory on Friday. The Loris Lions got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Aynor Blue Jackets' three. Aynor fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Lions since on Friday.

Aynor's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Loris, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coming up, Aynor will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Waccamaw at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Waccamaw will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Aynor surely won't give up without a fight. As for Loris, they will square off against Georgetown at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Loris' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
