Softball Recap: Thornton Trojans vs. Aurora Central Trojans

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Thornton). Everything went their way against the Aurora Central Trojans on Saturday as the Thornton Trojans made off with a 17-5 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for Thornton.

Mya Grady made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. What's more, she also racked up three hits, the mostshe's had since back in August. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with five RBI and a double.

In other batting news, Thornton let Elenna Gray and Alauna Jaramillo loose on the outfield. Gray scored four runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances, while Jaramillo went 1-for-4 with a home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Lopez, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
