Basketball Recap: Goddard Comes Up Short

Goddard played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 64-43 to the Eisenhower Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 58-50 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Eisenhower's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Pierce Blue, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Kasten Koehn, who posted eight points in addition to seven assists and three steals.

Goddard dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Eisenhower, they moved to 2-4 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Goddard will take on Maize South at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Goddard is facing Maize South at the right time seeing as Maize South is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Eisenhower, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-56 defeat against East on the 11th.
