Volleyball Recap: St. Mary's Comes Up Short

St. Mary was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Parkway West Longhorns.

Parkway West got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jackson Lanfersieck out in front who had 15 digs and two assists. That's the most digs Lanfersieck has posted over his last six matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of George Rusbacky, who had three digs and two aces.

St. Mary's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Parkway West, their win bumped their record up to 3-12.

Coming up, St. Mary's will venture away from home to challenge Maplewood-Richmond Heights at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Parkway West, they will challenge Fort Zumwalt North at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
