If West Covina was riding high fresh off their 15-0 takedown of Garey last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Rowland Raiders by a score of 11-10 on Tuesday. Even though they lost, the Bulldogs' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.3 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Danielle Diaz led a balanced group of hitters, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Sophia Adler was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-5.
West Covina's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-9-1. As for Rowland, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-6-1.
