Soccer Game Preview: Gonzaga vs. St. John's

The Gonzaga Eagles will face off against the St. John's Cadets on Friday. Gonzaga will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Gonzaga is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. Everything went their way against St. Albans as they made off with a 7-1 victory. Gonzaga might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, St. John's narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Jackson-Reed 2-1. The victory was all the more spectacular given St. John's disadvantage in MaxPreps' District of Columbia soccer rankings (they are ranked 45th, while Jackson-Reed are ranked first).

St. John's win bumped their record up to 10-5-2. As for Gonzaga, their victory bumped their record up to 14-4-3.
