            Baseball Recap: Highland Bulldogs vs. Littlerock Lobos        
        
		
        
        
            After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Royal, Highland was happy to have turned things around  on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Littlerock Lobos  a   3-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  10-2  last Wednesday.

Not much got past  Landon Manzano, who gave up just  three  hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Littlerock off the board. Manzano also  tossed  no  earned runs, which is notable because Highland is 4-0-1 when he allows at  most  two  earned runs, but 5-6 otherwise.
 On the hitting side,  Hudson Harding was  excellent,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-3.
Highland pushed their record up to 9-6-1 with the  victory, which was their third straight  at home. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Littlerock, their loss  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 10-7.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Highland will  face off against  rival Eastside  at 3:15  p.m.  on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Littlerock is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Lancaster  at 3:15  p.m.  on Wednesday.
