Richards piles up the points against Longwood

Recap: Richards Warriors vs. Longwood Panthers

The Richards Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Longwood 85-52 at home. The result was nothing new for Richards, who have now won six contests by 23 points or more so far this season.

It was another big night for David Thomas, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 28 points and 5 assists. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Richards' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rashaud Lyons, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.

Richards is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Longwood, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Richards will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Hubbard at 5:00 p.m. Longwood's road trip will continue as they head out to face Hancock at 4:30 p.m. on January 11th.
