Soccer Game Preview: Fellowship Christian vs. Mount Paran Christian

The Fellowship Christian Paladins will challenge the Mount Paran Christian Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Fellowship Christian will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Fellowship Christian and Mount Pisgah Christian meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again last Tuesday. The Paladins' defense stepped up to hand the Patriots a 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Fellowship Christian, who have now won eight games by four goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Mount Paran Christian fell victim to Cambridge and their airtight defense last Wednesday. They came up short against the Bears, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, Mount Paran Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 128th, while Cambridge are ranked 16th).

Mount Paran Christian has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season. As for Fellowship Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3.

Everything went Fellowship Christian's way against Mount Paran Christian in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Fellowship Christian made off with a 5-0 win. Will the Paladins repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
