Basketball Recap: Dighton Takes a Loss

Dighton lost against LaCrosse back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Dighton Hornets fell to the LaCrosse Leopards 38-33. The contest marked the Hornets' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

It was another big night for Molly Showalter, who went 6 of 14 en route to 16 points and six rebounds for LaCrosse. Another player making a difference was Madison Morgan, who posted four points in addition to eight rebounds, five assists, and five steals.

Dighton's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for LaCrosse, they now also have a winning record of 3-2.

Dighton will take on Wallace County in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Wallace County will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Dighton surely won't give up without a fight. As for LaCrosse, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
