Softball Recap: Spring Valley Comes Up Short

Spring Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They lost 15-9 to the Stratford Knights. If the Vikings were looking for revenge after losing 6-1 to the Knights when the teams met back in April of 2017, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Eryn Wright made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run, three stolen bases, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Pheonix Wright, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Spring Valley's loss dropped their record down to 4-22. As for Stratford, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-13-1.

As of now, neither Spring Valley nor the Knights have any future games scheduled.
