Baseball Recap: Greenup County Comes Up Short

Greenup County's last matchup with Jackson could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Thursday. The Musketeers came up short against the Ironman/Ironladies, falling 14-3. The Musketeers have struggled against the Ironman/Ironladies recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Greenup County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Boggs, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Greenup County's defeat dropped their record down to 16-18. As for Jackson, they pushed their record up to 19-1 with the win, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Greenup County will square off against Russell at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Jackson, they will challenge Warren at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
