Softball Recap: Keystone Panthers vs. Redbank Valley Bulldogs
Keystone had to start their season on the road on Wednesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They suffered a tough 13-5 defeat at the hands of the Redbank Valley Bulldogs. Keystone was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Redbank Valley apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.
For Redbank Valley's part, Braylee Yeany was incredible, going 4-for-5 with a home run, five RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Bella Orr, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4.
Redbank Valley made their fans wait, but they earned their first win of the season to make their record 1-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Keystone will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Karns City at 6:00 p.m. on April 25th. As for Redbank Valley, they will head out on the road to take on Otto-Eldred at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
