Mauldin is a perfect 10-0 against Hillcrest since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Mauldin will square off against Hillcrest at 7:00 p.m. Mauldin is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games.

Mauldin is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of South Carolina's top teams: Christ Church Episcopal, who was ranked 22nd at the time (Mauldin was ranked 18th). Mauldin's defense stepped up to hand Christ Church Episcopal a 2-0 shutout on Friday. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Mauldin were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last game, Hillcrest made sure to put some goals up on the board against Woodruff on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over the Wolverines. The result was nothing new for Hillcrest, who have now won seven contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Woodruff from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Eden Pecoraro led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Mauldin pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three matches. As for Hillcrest, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.

Everything went Mauldin's way against Hillcrest in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Mauldin made off with a 6-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mauldin since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
