Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Ector walked away with it. They came out on top against the Perrin-Whitt Pirates on Thursday by a score of 5-2 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Pirates on Thursday, they had to take a 5-2 defeat.

Ector has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-11 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Perrin-Whitt, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.
