Basketball Recap: Goessel Takes a Loss

Goessel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 45-43 heartbreaker at the hands of the Herington Railroaders. The Bluebirds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Railroaders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Goessel's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Herington, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Goessel will head out to challenge Udall at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Herington has already played their next game (against Little River), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
