Volleyball Recap: Tigerton Takes a Loss

Tigerton came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Almond-Bancroft Eagles, falling 3-0. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Tigerton couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Almond-Bancroft a tough time in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 30-28, 25-20.

Tigerton's offense was headlined by Aaliyah Lederhaus and Presley Stewart-Rolfs, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Danika Tiller and her 15 assists.

Tigerton's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Almond-Bancroft, their win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 13-17.

Coming up, Tigerton will host Wolf River Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Almond-Bancroft does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
