Basketball Recap: Crossover Prep Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Victory

Crossover Prep extended their winning streak to eight on Tuesday, bumping them up to 12-2. They took down Owasso Preparatory Academy 91-72. Crossover Prep pushed the score to 71-51 by the end of the third, a deficit Owasso Preparatory Academy cut but never quite recovered from.

Crossover Prep had a senior duo take command as Augustine Pickard posted 35 points and Josiah Shaw earned 27 points. Pickard's big performance that evening made it 12 games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Cowans, who had 11 points.

As for Owasso Preparatory Academy, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-8. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game back in December of 2025 (68), they still had to take the loss.

Despite the defeat, Owasso Preparatory Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Tysen Jenkins dropped a double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds. Jenkins has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more points the last four times he's played. Eric Rinas was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Crossover Prep has already played their next game, a 71-48 loss against Bixby on the 8th. As for Owasso Preparatory Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 73-28 defeat against Oklahoma City Knights HomeSchool on the 9th.
