Volleyball Recap: Evan Page and Connor Sobie Secure Win for Grayslake Central

Grayslake Central had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Round Lake Panthers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 on April 3rd.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Grayslake Central was: they took both sets by at least 16 points. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-7.

Leading Grayslake Central to victory were Connor Sobie and Evan Page. Sobie had 14 assists, while Page had seven digs. Those 14 assists gave Sobie a new career-high.

Grayslake Central pushed their record up to 20-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Round Lake, they are on a 33-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-24.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grayslake Central will face off against North Chicago at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rams are facing the Warhawks at the right time seeing as the Warhawks are stuck on a 17-game losing streak. As for Round Lake, they will square off against Lakes at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
