Greensburg hadn't done well against Connersville recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Pirates skirted past the Spartans 5-4. Winning may never get old, but the Pirates sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Harper Adams spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances.

Greensburg's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Connersville, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-9.

Greensburg has already played their next contest, a 4-2 loss against East Central on the 19th. As for Connersville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Hagerstown on the 17th.
