Basketball Recap: Harding Victorious

Westhill came into Saturday's contest looking for another win against Harding, but Hasan Powell wouldn't allow it. The Harding Presidents came out on top against the Westhill Vikings by a score of 66-59 on Saturday thanks in part to Powell, who went 9 of 17 on his way to 23 points in addition to five assists and three steals. Those 23 points gave him a new career-high.

The team also got some help courtesy of Andre Taylor, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played.

Harding now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Westhill, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

When Harding and Westhill next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Harding will try to stop East Lyme's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Westhill will try to stop Ludlowe's four-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
