Baseball Game Preview: North Hopkins Panthers vs. Wolfe City Wolves

The North Hopkins Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Wolfe City Wolves at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (North Hopkins has six straight wins, Wolfe City has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

North Hopkins is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Saltillo with a sharp 17-1 victory on Friday. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, in Friday's Canine Competition, Wolfe City didn't have enough. They fell just short of Cooper by a score of 10-9 on Friday.

Nick Nowak was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-5 with two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Noah Jones was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

North Hopkins' win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Wolfe City, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
