Volleyball Recap: Ellyse Shealy and Zoe Roudebush Secure Win for Lawrenceburg

Lawrenceburg's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Connersville Spartans. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Lawrenceburg never let Connersville on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-23, 25-19.

Lawrenceburg was led to victory by Zoe Roudebush and Ellyse Shealy. Roudebush had five digs and two aces, while Shealy had seven digs. The dominant performance also gave Roudebush a new career-high in assists (24).

They weren't the only good server: Lawrenceburg was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Connersville only served eight aces.

The win got Lawrenceburg back to even at 1-1.

Lawrenceburg has already played their next match (against North Decatur), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Connersville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Eastern Hancock on the 21st.
