High school football rankings: Folsom headlines Sac-Joaquin Section Preseason MaxPreps Top 25

Bulldogs look to extend streak of 10-win seasons dating back to 2009.

The Sierra Foothill League is expected to be one of the the toughest leagues in the state once again as five of its teams begin inside the top 10 of the Sac-Joaquin Section Preseason MaxPreps Top 25.

Folsom is back on top once again looking to repeat as section champions. The Bulldogs have had 10 or more wins (excluding 2020) each season dating back to 2009.

Oak Ridge (El Dorado Hills), the Division 1 runner-up last fall, starts the season at No. 2. The Trojans hope to snap a streak of 19-straight losses to Folsom behind players like 4-star tight end Kaleb Edwards.

St. Mary's (Stockton) will have back 16 starters back from a team that went 10-1 and upset De La Salle. Head coach Tony Franks will have one of the most talented teams in the section.
