Soccer Game Preview: Central vs. Jordan

The Central Red Devils are taking a road trip to challenge the Jordan Red Jackets at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Central's victory against Northside wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Red Devils won by a goal and slipped past the Patriots 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for Central.

Parker Gessner and David Okyem scored both of Central's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jordan). They blew past Glenwood 6-0 on Tuesday.

The win got Jordan back to even at 2-2. As for Central, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Central got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 against Jordan by a conclusive 10-0 score. Do the Red Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Red Jackets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
