Early waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 40-23 win over the Peaster Greyhounds. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Longhorns' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 259th, while the Greyhounds are ranked 660th).

Early's victory bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Peaster, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Early is set to challenge their familiar foe Comanche at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Peaster will face off against rival Dublin at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
