Basketball Game Preview: Alamance Christian Warriors vs. Greater Vision Academy Lions

The Alamance Christian Warriors will take on the Greater Vision Academy Lions at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Friday, Alamance Christian strolled past River Mill with points to spare, taking the game 56-39. The Warriors pushed the score to 46-26 by the end of the third, a deficit the Jaguars cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, Greater Vision Academy entered their tilt with Fellowship Baptist Academy on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 68-61 victory over the Eagles.

Greater Vision Academy found their leader in sophomore Bradun Rogers, who went 10-for-14 to rack up 28 points in addition to five assists and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rogers has scored all season. Coyrick Cheek Jr was another key player, shooting 43% from the field on his way to 15 points and four steals.

Alamance Christian's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Greater Vision Academy, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Alamance Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Greater Vision Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, but they still walked away with a 57-53 victory. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
