Basketball Game Preview: St. Clairsville Red Devils vs. Martins Ferry Purple Riders

St. Clairsville is on a six-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, Martins Ferry a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Thursday. The St. Clairsville Red Devils will host the Martins Ferry Purple Riders at 6:00 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Monday, St. Clairsville was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 40-39 to Beaver Local.

Meanwhile, Martins Ferry came up short against Bellaire on Monday and fell 72-60. While the Purple Riders didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Big Reds 21-12 in the first quarter.

Martins Ferry now has a losing record at 3-4. As for St. Clairsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.
